TOFWERK is a Swiss-based company that designs and manufacturers high-quality mass spectrometers for characterizing atmospheric composition. Recently, the company has developed a robust new instrument for monitoring VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in real time: the AirTox Monitor. Working in partnership with Dr. Stefan Reimann from Empa, TOFWERK is currently operating an AirTox Monitor at the Jungfraujoch national facility. The resulting measurements will be compared with the comprehensive VOC measurements that are performed by the Medusa GCMS instrument as part of the ACTRIS network.
