On July 2 and 3 the ACTRIS-Switzerland consortium met for its 2025 annual meeting at the MeteoSwiss Aerological station in Payerne. As well as updates from all ACTRIS-Switzerland partners, this year’s meeting had a special focus on remote sensing and bioaerosols given the extensive facilities dedicated to these topics at the Payerene station. In addition, and for the first time, several guests were invited to the meeting to discuss ACTRIS-related research topics and projects, including overviews of the ACTRIS Centre for Cloud Remote Sensing and Palaiseau research facility (Martial Haeffelin), the latest cloud research activities in Switzerland (Claudia Mohr, Alexis Berne, Ulrike Lohmann) and Europe (Ulas Im and Thanos Nenes for the CleanCloud project), bioaerosol metrology (Konstantina Vasilatou), and joint research activities at the Payerne station including the E-PROFILE (Alexander Haefele), PERICLES, and ReClean (Thanos Nenes) projects. The meeting participants also enjoyed a tour of the Payerne facilities and a relaxing sunset dinner overlooking nearby Lake Murten. The meeting was a great opportunity for all the participants to learn and get energized, to explore further connections across the ACTRIS network and related research projects, and to plan our next steps together.
